Solar & Battery Sizing Panelload-based system estimator
LOCATION
Size your system from what you actually run
Add the appliances in your home, how many of each, and how long they run. This panel works out your peak power, daily energy use, and the inverter, battery and panel setup to cover it.

Rates default to ballpark 2026 Lagos street pricing for standalone hardware and move with the naira–dollar rate — replace them with your supplier's actual quotes for a real budget. Lead-acid halves the ₦/kWh rate but assumes 50% depth of discharge against lithium's 80%, so switching the toggle also resizes the battery bank in the readout above.

Assumptions — Starting surge included once, for the single largest motor/compressor load, at its typical LRA multiple. Battery sizing uses 80% depth of discharge and 90% inverter round-trip efficiency. PV array assumes 75% system efficiency (wiring, temperature, inverter losses) against the peak sun hours for the selected location, sized with 545W panels. Inverter is rounded up to the nearest common size at 0.8 power factor plus 20% headroom. These are first-pass estimates for planning — a site survey adjusts for shading, roof area, and grid-tie or off-grid configuration.
